The BSS Group PLC ('BSS' or the 'Group'), a leading distributor of heating, plumbing and pipeline equipment to the industrial and domestic construction and maintenance markets, announces that Kevin Higginson has resigned as Group Finance Director with effect from 30th May 2006. Kevin joined BSS in April 2001 and has played a significant role in improving the operating performance of the Group and in strengthening its financial position. With this phase now complete, Kevin has informed the Board of his wish to pursue other opportunities outside the Group.
Roddy Murray, a qualified Chartered Accountant and previously Finance Director of Moss Bros Group Plc, is appointed as Group Finance Director and will join the BSS Board of Directors on 30th May 2006. Murray, aged 45, joined the Moss Bros Board in June 2002 and has previously held senior finance positions at Mackays Stores, United Distillers, Guinness and British Airways.
BSS will be announcing its preliminary results on 30th May 2006.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, we notify that Roddy Murray is not a current director of any other publicly quoted company. Over the previous five years he held an executive directorship in Moss Bros Group Plc from June 2002 to November 2005. There are no further details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
